Apple Daily Report: Apple urges new iPhone XS owners to use an AirPower (???) (and more news)

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">As noted by developer Gavin Stephens in a tweet <a href="https://twitter.com/ccgavind/status/1042917075675541504" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">on Thursday</a>, Apple urges new iPhone XS owners to charge their device with AirPower or a Qi wireless charger.  Of course, the AirPower, Apple’s wireless charger, hasn’t yet shipped — and there’s no indication that it will anytime soon.</p>

Mavin Introduces Air-X: wireless earbuds

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><a href="http://www.mavinlife.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mavin</a> has announced the Air-X, which the company says is the first true wireless earbud to last 10 hours with one standalone charge, and up to 50 hours with its included charging case. It’s available on <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/air-x-50-hour-100-feet-range-true-wireless-earbuds#/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Indiegogo</span></a> with “super early bird” specials starting at $99 (44% off the regular price of $179).</p>

Apple wants to improve AV/VR scenarios involving ‘real life’ moving objects

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple continues to beef up its plans for augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) products. The tech giant has been granted a patent (number 20180268237) for a “method and system for determining at least one property related to at least part of a real environment.” The goal to improve the capturing of moving objects in real life for use in an AR/VR scene.</p>

Chris Evans to star in ‘Defending Jacob’ series for Apple

Apple posts first public betas of iOS 12.1 and tvOS 12.1

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has released the first public beta versions of iOS 12.1 and tvOS 12.1 for testing. Apple patent filing hints at future iPad covers with wireless charging

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has filed for a patent (number 20180267584) for “integrated inductive charging in a protective cover.” It hints at future iPad covers with wireless charging. Once I would have thought it involved AirPower, but Apple’s long-promised wireless charger seems to have vanished into the void.</p>
