<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has offered to buy the augmented-reality startup, Leap Motion “multiple times, most recently in the spring of 2018,” according to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-leap-motion-acquisition-talks-fell-through-2018-10?r=UK&IR=T" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Business Insider</em></a>, quoting unnamed “people familiar with the matter.”</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple Pay appears to be gaining customers and making gains in areas from mobile apps to physical stores thanks to more installed equipment in stores and a new feature called Apple Pay Cash, according to <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-10-30/apple-pay-struggles-to-meet-heady-expectations" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Bloomberg</em>.</a></p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple on Monday again urged the U.S. Supreme Court to undo a Ninth Circuit decision reviving an antitrust suit from app buyers accusing the tech giant of illegally monopolizing the iPhone, reports <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1097064/app-buyers-have-no-answer-to-illinois-brick-apple-says?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology&read_more=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Law360</em></a>.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The new <a href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2018/10/30/apple-intros-all-new-macbook-air-new-graphics-options-for-macbook-pro" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacBook Air </a>is pretty neat, soo why does Apple even need the MacBook line? Just make a less expensive (under $1,000), 11-inch Air.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Today Apple announced new iPad Pros, a new Apple Pencil, a new MacBook Air, and a new Mac mini. I was pleased with the announcements — and surprised by some of them.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Blackmagic Design has announced the <a href="https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/release/20181031-01" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Blackmagic eGPU Pro</span></a>, a new external graphics processor featuring the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics processor. It’s the follow-up to the Blackmagic eGPU that was introduced in July. </p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;"><a href="http://www.labcorp.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">LabCorp</a>, a global life sciences company, says it now supports Health Records on iPhone. This feature is designed to make it easy for LabCorp patients to access their LabCorp laboratory test results, along with other available medical data from multiple providers, whenever they choose.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has released Shortcuts 2.1, an update of its iOS productivity app.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has posted watchOS 5.1, tvOS 12.1, and HomePod 12.1.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Along with iOS 12.1, Apple has released macOS Mojave 10.14.1; both add support for Group FaceTime.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Darn, I didn’t get the mouse support I wanted, but Apple has introduced, as expected, a new iPad Pro with all-screen design and next-generation performance. The all-new design pushes 11-inch and 12.9-inch Liquid Retina displays to the edges of iPad Pro and integrates Face ID to securely unlock the iPad with a glance.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple’s online store is down ahead of the company’s “There’s more in the making” event. It will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m. (Eastern) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House. </p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has been granted a patent (number 10,112,528) for an “exterior lighting and warning system” for an automobile.</p>
