Tim Cook is third on Vanity’s Fair’s 2017 ‘New Establishment’ list

<p>Apple CEO Tim Cook takes the third spot on <em>Vanity Fair</em>’s 2017 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.vanityfair.com/new-establishment-list" rel="noopener noreferrer">“New Establishment” list</a>, a ranking of “of tech savants, moguls, financiers, and entertainers, among others." That’s up from 11th in 2016. Ahead of him on the list are Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (second place) and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.</p>

Ireland faces EU rebuke for not yet collecting Apple back taxes

Analyst: iPhone X production could be limited to 30 million units this year

Apple releases ARM-ready source code for XNU kernels found in iOS and macOS

Samsung will make $110 on each iPhone X

Apple patent is for remotely controlling a hearing aid

<p>Apple wants the iPhone to be able to “remotely control” a hearing aid, as evidenced by a new patent filing (number 20170280225). In the patent filing, Apple notes that modern hearing devices are high tech computing devices equipped with multiple speakers and types of speakers and are capable of receiving sound data from multiple audio data sources such as microphones attached to the hearing device as well as being able to stream audio data directly to the hearing device. </p>
