<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">On a regular basis, <em>Apple World Today </em>posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple released watchOS 6 yesterday. It’s a solid, if not earthshaking upgrade, mainly thanks mainly to the improved health and fitness features.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The $49.99 <a href="https://www.pelican.com/us/en/discover/ems-phone-cases/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pelican Protector EMS Wireless Charging Vent Mount</a> charges my iPhone and allows me to keep in line with a new law in my home state of Tennessee.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.eyejust.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">EyeJust </a>has launched blue light blocking screen protectors for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. They’re designed to help consumers avoid harmful effects of blue light. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In a note to clients — as noted by <a href="https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/09/20/demand-for-iphone-11-outpacing-supply-chain-expectations" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a> — JP Morgan says the increasing lead times suggest demand for the 2019 iPhones is higher than the supply chain anticipated. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Previewed in June at the 2019 Apple Worldwide Developer Conference, iOS is now available. There’s a lot to like about the operating system update, especially the new Dark Mode, photo editing changes, and the update Maps app.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=09192019a" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple says</a> the Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager are now available in more locations. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has released Safari 13 for macOS. It contains feature improvements as well as privacy, security and compatibility enhancements and is recommended for all users. </p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Straight Path IP Group, a “patent troll,” has urged a California federal judge not to exclude a retired judge's testimony as it tries to fend off a bid by Apple and Cisco for nearly $10 million in attorney fees, reports <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1200123/judge-s-testimony-is-ok-in-apple-cisco-fee-row-court-told?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_campaign=technology&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law360</a>.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has launched iOS 13 and watchOS 6, as well as — to a limited degree — its Apple Arcade gaming service.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has previewed the new Apple Fifth Avenue, an entirely reimagined space beneath one of New York City’s most recognized landmarks. It boasts a luminous glass cube rising above a newly designed public plaza.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">T-Mobile is now offering 3% Daily Cash on Apple Card. That’s on top of 50% off the latest iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro ,and iPhone 11 Pro Max with eligible trade-in.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has applied for another patent (number 20190289107 — and one of several) that hints at the upcoming “Apple Glasses” will require an iPhone or perhaps an iPod touch for operation.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has filed for a patent (number 2019029348) for “simultaneous playback for multiple audience members with different visual and audio needs.” It would, apparently, take advantage of its TV app to stream different versions of the same movie, TV show, or video to folks with different needs/wants.</p>
