Now <a href="https://variety.com/2019/film/news/apple-theatrical-dates-anthony-mackie-hala-elephant-queen-1203352195/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Variety</em></a><em> </em>has given up an update on the situation.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has hired David Smoley, chief information officer of pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, for a vice president role, according to <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-27/apple-hires-astrazeneca-chief-information-officer-smoley" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Bloomberg</em></a>. He’ll report to Mary Demby, Apple’s chief information officer.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">An iOS researcher with the Twitter handle @asi0mX has announced the <a href="https://twitter.com/axi0mX/status/1177542201670168576" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">release of a new iOS exploit named checkm8</a> that claims to have serious consequences for iPhone and iPad hardware, as well as Apple Watches.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has been ranked Britain’s best tech company to work for, according to data released by the <a href="https://www.indeed.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Indeed</a> job site. It repeats the top position from last year’s rankings.</p>
