U.S. pay TV loses a half million subscribers in the third quarter

<p>The cord cutting continues. A <a target="_blank" href="https://www.rapidtvnews.com/2017111649690/us-pay-tv-loses-half-a-million-subscribers-in-q3.html?utm_campaign=us-pay-tv-loses-half-million-subscribers-in-q3&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter_1544#axzz4yba6hlPB" rel="noopener noreferrer">Leichtman Research Group study</a> finds that the largest pay-TV providers in the U.S., representing about 95% of the market, lost about 405,000 net video subscribers in the third quarter of 2017 — a big jump compared with a loss of about 250,000 subscribers in quarter three (3Q) of 2016.</p>

Nokia Threat Intelligence Report: iOS is the most secure mobile operating system

<p>In its <a target="_blank" href="https://resources.ext.nokia.com/asset/201621" rel="noopener noreferrer">Threat Intelligence Report</a> for 2017, Nokia has reported the rates of malware infection for mobile devices for the first three quarters of 2017 and found that Apple’s iOS continues to be the most secure operating system. Only 3.54% of devices successfully targeted by malware were iPhones.</p>

GBH Insights: Apple to become the first $1 trillion company within a year

<p>A GBH Insights analyst says Apple will become the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/16/apple-1-trillion-company-within-the-next-year-analyst.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">first $1 trillion company</a> within the next year as the iPhone X hits its “major upgrade cycle.” Analyst Daniel Ives says Apple shares could reach from $210 to $230 in the coming year.</p>
