Apple wins its ‘iPad vs Mi Pad’ trademark case against Miami

<p>The European Union General Court <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-eu-court-apple-xiaomi/apple-wins-eu-trademark-case-against-xiaomi-idUSKBN1DZ1IO?il=0" rel="noopener noreferrer">has ruled</a> that Xiaomi, privately owned Chinese electronics and software company headquartered in Beijing, can’t trademark the name of its “Mi Pad” tablet (pictured) because the name is too similar to Apple’s iPad.</p>

Survey: Siri gets it right 70% of the time overall (better than competing virtual assistants)

Ireland expects Apple back tax in escrow account in early 2018

<p>Ireland expects Apple to start paying up to 13 billion euros (about $15.4 billion) in back taxes into an escrow account in the first quarter of 2018, Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-eu-apple-ireland-taxavoidance/ireland-expects-apple-back-tax-in-escrow-account-in-first-quarter-2018-minister-idUSKBN1DY1M3" rel="noopener noreferrer">told reporters</a> before a meeting with European Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager.</p>

Analyst: AirPods shipments could reach 28 million in 2018
