Apple met with AR component suppliers during CES

Apple looks to reverse a ruling in its battle with VoIP-Pal

<p>Apple is working to reverse a Patent Trial and Appeal Board ruling upholding the validity of certain patents owned by VoIP-Pal. The tech giant claims that its opponent contacted senior administration officials and the judges presiding over the case, swaying the outcome of an inter partes review proceeding, according to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.law.com/therecorder/sites/therecorder/2018/01/11/apple-alleges-secret-lobbying-campaign-swayed-pto-trial/?slreturn=20180012084558" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The Recorder</em></a>. </p>

Apple Europe to pay $185 million to settle tax claims

Star Micronics displays Apple Certified AirPrint POS Printer

<p>International POS printer manufacturer <a target="_blank" href="http://www.Star-EMEA.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Star Micronics</a> says its upcoming Star TSP654II AirPrint will be the first 80 and 58mm receipt and ticket POS printer on the market to be Apple AirPrint certified. Pricing and availability haven’t been announced. </p>
