<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.nvidia.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nvidia</a> has announced its $1,200 Titan Xp GPU [graphics processing unit], as well as news that new beta Pascal drivers are coming next week for the Mac. The company says it pushes more cores, faster clocks, faster memory and more TFLOPS than its predecessor, the 2016 Pascal-powered Titan X.</p>

<p>Apple has released Clips, a new app that allows iPhone and iPad users to create “expressive videos.” It lets you combine video clips, photos and music into videos to share with friends through the Messages app, or on Instagram, Facebook and other social networks.</p>

<p>Microsoft ranks highest in overall satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2017 U.S. Tablet Satisfaction Study, doing so for the first time since the study’s inception. With an overall satisfaction score among tablet owners of 855 (on a 1,000-point scale), Microsoft’s achievement is largely due to its top rankings in the features and styling & design factors, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://jdpower.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">J.D. Power</a>, a consumer insights, advisory services and data and analytics.</p>

<p>Apple is reportedly announcing the “Apple Watch 3” (shown in a fanciful mock-up by <em>Market Exclusive</em>) in the second half of 2017. When the Watch first hit the market in 2015, it was hailed as the next big thing - three years later does this excitement still hold? According to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.fluentco.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fluent</a>, the answer is no.</p>

<p>Apple has filed for a patent (number 20170097746) for a “collaboration system” that hints at use of an Apple Pencil on Macs via virtual whiteboards. The patent would allow remote participants during a conferenceto look at an electronic whiteboards which may be run as an application on a “personal computer.”</p>

<p>Apple has reportedly signed a two-year contract with its frenemy Samsung for up to 92 million curved OLED panels for the upcoming “iPhone 8,” according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20170406PD206.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">DigiTimes</a>.</p>

<p>Another day, another lawsuit. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has filed a federal lawsuit against Apple for allegedly disabling iPhone and iPad hardware repaired by unauthorized third parties. </p>

<p>Senior Vice President Phil Schiller <a target="_blank" href="https://www.axios.com/apple-to-ditch-the-current-mac-pro-design-but-replacement-wont-arrive--2343465726.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">told a handful of reporters in a discussion</a> at Apple's offices in Cupertino, California, on Tuesday that the tech giant company has no plans for touchscreen Macs, or for machines powered solely by the kind of ARM processors used in the iPhone and iPad. </p>

<p>The “Apple Watch 3” is expected to ship in the second half of the year, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.digitimes.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">DigiTimes Research</a>. Based on past releases, this makes sense. The report says that Taiwan’s Compal Electronics will join Quanta Computers, also based in Taiwan, in making the Apple smartwatch.</p>

<p>Scania — a major Swedish automotive industry <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing">manufacturer</a> of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercial_vehicle">commercial vehicles</a>, specifically heavy trucks and buses — is introducing Apple CarPlay to the new truck generation's infotainment system. The company is among the first in the industry to offer Apple CarPlay in heavy trucks.   </p>
