Apple wants HomePods to be able to run even cooler

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has been granted a patent (number 10,264,355) for a “loudspeaker cabinet with thermal and power mitigation control effort.” I’ve not noticed my HomePod running hot, but perhaps Apple is planning an even more powerful speaker.</p>

Siri Shortcuts on the Mac could be Apple’s replacement strategy for Automator (and AppleScript?)

Analyst: pressure is on Qualcomm to show it can succeeded where Intel failed

News round-up: Intel to quit making 5G smartphone modems (and more)

Apple’s iPhone XR was the top-selling smartphone in the U.S. in February

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">The iPhone XR was Apple's best-selling smartphone in February, according to <a href="http://www.counterpointresearchcom" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Counterpoint Research's </a>monthly U.S. smartphone churn tracker. The XR was responsible for more than 26% of all iPhone sales during the month, notes the research group.</p>

Strategy Analytics: Apple to place fourth among 5G smartphone makers — next year

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">According to the latest research from <a href="http://www.strategyanalyltics.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Strategy Analytics, global s</a>martphone shipments will reach a modest five million units in 2019. Early 5G smartphone models will be expensive and available in limited volumes. Samsung, LG and Huawei will be the early 5G smartphone leaders this year, followed by Apple next year, according to the research group.</p>

Apple sued for ‘misrepresenting’ its true financial situation
