Apple support doc tells how to assembly, adjust face shields it’s making

Apple has shared a support document outlining how to assemble and adjust the face shields for medical workers that the company’s design, engineering, operations and packaging teams are working on.

The document tells how to assembly and adjust the face shield. It also tells how to clean and reuse the shield.

The face shield covers the entire face with a clear plastic panel. Apple has already delivered its first shipment of the face shields to Kaiser hospital facilities in the Santa Clara Valley in the last week, and has already received “positive” feedback from doctors.

”These pack flat. 100 per box,” Tim Cook said “Each shield is assembled in less than two minutes and is fully adjustable. We’re sourcing materials and manufacturing in the U.S. and China.”
