Apple ranks sixth among ‘Happiest Companies in America’

After compiling more than 250,000 independent employee reviews from companies around the U.S., CareerBliss has announced the 10th annual CareerBliss 50 Happiest Companies in America. Apple ranks sixth, up from 10th place.

The list honors the top companies who are succeeding in building a happy culture and positive workplace for employees. This year moving up to the top spot from its position at No. 4 is Google.

Each company is ranked by a BlissScore of 1-5, with 5 being happiest. The BlissScore not only reflects a person’s happiness about something such as salary, but also the value of that factor in their life.

Apple’s Blisscore is 3.975 (compared to Google’s 4.251). CEO Tim Cook gets a 97.2% approval rating. According to CareerBliss, the company’s average salary is $43,000.

Thousands of employees from companies around the nation submitted confidential company reviews on CareerBliss.com, ranking their employers on the key factors that impact overall employee happiness. CareerBliss is an online career community “designed to help everyone find happiness in the workplace.”
