Apple purportedly plans ‘largest Apple Store in the world’ at the Miami Worldcenter

Apple just signed a lease at Miami Worldcenter to build “the largest Apple store in the world,” according to a tweet by Miami Tech Life‘s director of growth, Ryan RC Rea. He says the exact location hasn’t been announced, but is “almost certainly” in the “Jewelry Box” on NE 8th and 1st Avenue.

Miami Worldcenter is a large mixed-use development under construction. It will span several blocks in the Park West neighborhood of Miami, Florida, just north of downtown. It’s the second largest development in the U.S. and will encompass 30 acres surrounded by over US$3 billion in new and public private projects including mass transit, museums, shopping, parks, sports venues, entertainment, and convention space.

Miami Worldcenter’s “Jewel Box” is located at the confluence of the 7th Street Promenade and World Paseo open-air retail pedestrian streets, directly west of the development’s upcoming citizenM boutique hotel and north of the completed luxury apartment tower Bezel Miami. It sport a modern design and is enclosed with a floor-to-glass ceiling.
