Analyst: ‘iPhone SE 2’ still coming in the first half of 2020

In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Ming-Chi Kuo — says the rumored lower-cost iPhone is still planned for the first half of 2020 despite the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

The follow-up to the iPhone SE — which could be dubbed the “iPhone SE 2” or the “iPhone 9” is expected to have a 4.7-inch screen and cost about $399. Kuo predicts its specs will include: an A13 CPU; 3GB of RAM; 64GB and 128GB options; and no 3D Touch feature. He predicts that the phone will come in silver space grey, and red options.

The analyst feels that Apple has told suppliers to produce between 2-4 million units each month. He expects Apple to sell in excess of 30 million lower-priced iPhones phones across 2020.
