A look at the Garden Party and Twinkle Stardust iPhone 13 cases

Case-Mate and its peripheral brands (Rifle Paper Company and Pelican) have released dozens of new iPhone 13 cases. I’ve reviewed two and found them to fit well and be very protective. However, their colors are a bit too vivid for me. I prefer more subtle hues, but you may feel differently. (My wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law do).

The US$49.99 Garden Party (shown above) — available at Amazon — has a slim design with shock absorption for added protection. It’s designed to drop your pricey smartphone from a drop up to 10 feet. The Garden Party Blue case has gold foil detailing and is kinda translucent, so the color of your iPhone can be seen. And it’s compatible with MagSafe chargers and accessories. That’s alway a big plus when I consider iPhone cases.

The $39.99 Twinkle Stardust (shown below) — also available at Amazon — isn’t MagSafe compatible. It has a “twinkle” effect designed to “catch everyone’s eye. For those who want a little more of that everyday sparkle.” It’s too twinkly for me, but it does offer MicroPel protection. This antimicrobial technology, at least in theory, works to prevent the growth of these microorganisms. It “fights off the microorganisms that lead to unclean surfaces, stains, and odors that cause product quality to be compromised.”

Still, it seems a bit overpriced.
