Apple sold 170,000 MacBook Neos to teachers and school staff members in the Philippines

Apple sold 170,000 MacBook Neo units to teachers and school staff members in the Philippines.

During Apple’s quarterly earnings call, the tech giant said it had  sold 170,000 MacBook Neos to teachers and school staff members in the Philippines.

“We recently secured our biggest education deal ever for Mac with the Department of Education in the Philippines,” said Apple CEO John Ternus. “They’re going to deploy 170,000 MacBook Neos to teachers and staff. Opportunities like this bring more users into our ecosystem and help fuel growth across our business.”

In the Philippines, the 256GB MacBook Neo is priced at roughly $721.25 for the education market, with the 512GB model going for approximately $837. The (relatively) low-priced Mac laptop has proven to be a major hit. MacBook Neo shipments have come in better than expected, with the 2026 shipment forecast raised from 5 million to 10 million units, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in an X post. Pricing for the laptop starts at US$699.
