Let’s hope this isn’t a portent of things to come, but some iPhone Duos are already experiencing hinge issues that cause display cracks.
This is based on photos shared on Reddit and the MacRumors forums. Almost all of the display faults are right along the hinge, and most result in a line of bright pixels across one side of the screen, acceding to reports. I’ve seen no data on exactly how many of the foldable iPhones are affected.
The iPhone Duo is available in star white and night sky with prices starting at US $1,999 or $83.29 per month for 24 months, in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage capacities. However, current shipping times for late (as in past 5 pm Pacific on October 19) have shipped into January.
