Apple purportedly planning a 9-inch HomeView for 2027 or 2028

Apple is purportedly planning a 9-inch HomeView for 2027 or 2028.

The first generation HomeView hasn’t arrived yet, but Apple is already planning a follow-up (and bigger version), according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman in his latest “Power On” newsletter.

He said the tech giant plans a smart home hub with a larger 9-inch screen that can swivel a full 360 degrees on a robotic arm in 2027 or 2028. Gurman says that possible names for the biggie-sized device are the  “HomeView Max,” “HomeView Ultra,” and “HomeView 360.”

Here’s the pricing for the current HomeView:

  • Customers in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK, and the U.S. can pre-order Apple HomeView in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray for $299 (U.S.), and Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) in space gray and silver for $299 (U.S.), starting today from apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app. Customers in Singapore can pre-order starting Thursday, October 15, at 9 a.m. SGT.
  • Customers in South Africa will be able to pre-order Apple HomeView and Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) through Apple Authorized Resellers.
  • HomeView isn’t available for sale in the European Union, as Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU.
  • HomeView (Wall Mounted) will be available with a choice of three purpose-built mounts from Schneider Home. Power Mount USB‑C Wall Connector, available starting at $59.95 (U.S.), and Power Mount AC Wired, available starting at $79.95 (U.S.), can be ordered starting today from apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app. Power Mount PoE Wired will be available starting in early 2027 for $129.95 (U.S.).
