Apple is planning to invite content creators to a two-day product showcase in Los Angeles on October 27 and October 28, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.
“Apple’s big October will continue on the 27th with a second event to launch the first touch-screen MacBooks, OLED iPad mini, M6 14-inch MacBook Pro & iMac,” he said in an X post.
The touchscreen Mac — which may or may not be dubbed the “MacBook Ultra” — is expected to sport an OLED display, run M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, include a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, and (hopefully) have cellular connectivity options. It will also (maybe) have a lighter, if not thinner, design.
As for the iMac, unless Apple unveils new colors for the all-in-one, don’t expect any major design changes. And don’t get your hopes up for a 27-inch all-in-one or an iMac with an OLED display. The latter is in the works, but likely won’t arrive for several years, Gurman says.

As for upcoming iMac update, it will likely pack a M6 processor in the same design. The current iterations has an M4 chip. As for a bigger iMac, it could happen, but don’t hold your breath.
Gurman said the forthcoming iPad mini is expected to be “considerably more expensive.” How much more expensive? Around $799 compared to $599 for the current model.
