Debut of AirPods with built-in cameras pushed to 2027

Apple has purportedly pushed its high-end in-ear AirPods with built-in cameras to next year.

Apple initially planned to debut high-end in-ear AirPods with built-in cameras at yesterday’s “Surprise and Shine” event, but the launch was pushed to next year, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the article).

Here’s what Gurman had to face in a recent Power On newsletter: For years, Apple has been working on the camera AirPods under the code name B798. This device was initially scheduled for release in 2026 before being postponed until 2027, I’ve reported. But Apple has also been developing another version under the code name B790 (Apple famously creates competing versions of the same product internally).
