Study: 57% of Apple Job Listings Are Entry Level – But Competition Is Fierce

For those hoping to start their career at Apple, new research suggests there are plenty of entry-level opportunities – but getting your foot in the door is another matter, according to a new study by CashNetUSA, a money management assistance company.

More than half (57.4%) of the Apple job listings analyzed were categorized as entry level, giving the company the second-highest proportion of entry-level opportunities among 13 Big Tech companies studied.

CashNetUSA analyzed active LinkedIn job listings to compare entry-level hiring across major U.S. employers, looking at both the proportion of vacancies advertised as entry level and the average number of applicants per role. Key findings include:

  • 57.4% of Apple’s job listings were entry level, second only to Tesla (58.4%) among the Big Tech companies analyzed.
  • Apple advertised 54 entry-level vacancies during the research period.
  • Apple’s entry-level roles attracted an average of 55 applicants per listing.
  • This makes Apple the fifth-most competitive major U.S. company analyzed for entry-level applicants.
  • Within Big Tech, Apple also faces significantly more competition per entry-level role than Tesla, which averaged 23.5 applicants per listing.

So while Apple offers one of the highest concentrations of entry-level opportunities in Big Tech, actually securing one remains highly competitive.
