The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may cost US$250-$300 more than the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max due to higher silicon and memory costs, analyst Jeff Pu told clients in an earnings note.

From the note: Higher 2nm silicon and DRAM/NAND costs could drive a $250–300 price hike for iPhone 18 Pro/PM, creating demand uncertainty despite resilient iPhone 17 builds. iPhone 18 Pro/PM suggests limited spec upgrade for consumers.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max should arrive to customers in September or October, and the first foldable iPhone shortly afterwards. The non-Pro iPhone 18 is anticipated in the first half of 2027, along with an iPhone 18e and a second generation iPhone Air.
