In a Weibo post the leaker known as “Digital Chat Station” says it will have the same display refresh rate at the current iPhone 17e.
ProMotion is a display technology that allows for adaptive refresh rates on their devices, primarily the iPad Pro and some iPhone Pro models. This technology offers smoother scrolling, greater responsiveness, and enhanced motion content, especially when viewing high-frame-rate video.
An iPhone 18e will expected to arrive in early 2027 along with an iPad Air 2 and a “standard” (non-Pro) iPhone 18. An iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max should arrive this year in September or October, followed shortly thereafter by the first foldable iPhone.
