Zens’ new ultra-thin powerbank can quickly charge your iPhone while you’re on the go

Zens’ new ultra-thin powerbank can quickly charge your iPhone while you’re on the go.

Zens has released what it says is the world’s thinnest Semi Solid State Powerbank with Qi2.2.

I’ll take their word for it, but it is very svelte and is a great accessory for iPhone users. It features next-gen semi solid state technology. This is a type of lithium battery that uses a hybrid, gel-like, or solid-slurry electrolyte rather than a fully liquid one, typically containing less than 10% liquid. It acts as a bridge between conventional lithium-ion and fully solid-state batteries, offering higher energy density. Such batteries also offer improved safety due to lower flammability, and better charging speeds.

The 5,000mAh Zens power bank delivers up to 25W wireless charging in a sleek (8mm) design — up to 15W for the iPhone 12–15 and compatible Android devices. There’s also a 10,000 mAh option if you need even more charging capability.

The folks at  Zens say the Powerbank’s semi solid state battery architecture enhances thermal stability, improves resistance to shock and temperature changes, and extends overall battery lifespan. The accessory is handsome enough. However, if you want it in a color other than black you’re out of luck.

One very handy feature is that it supports Power Pass-Through. You can charge both your phone and powerbank overnight with one cable or you can charge two devices at once.

The Zens Semi Solid State Powerbanks are available for pre-order (I received an advance review unit). The 5,000mAh costs US$59.00, while the 10,000mAh is $79.99.

Those are great prices for an ultra-portable device with wireless charging for juicing up your iPhone while you’re on the move.
