How to use folders to manager playlists in iOS 26 Apple Music

You can use folders to maker playlists in iOS 26’s Apple Music.

To manage Apple Music playlists with folders in iOS 26, go to your Library, tap Playlists, then tap the plus icon to create a new folder. To add playlists to it, touch and hold a playlist, select “Move to,” and then choose the folder you just created. You can also drag playlists into folders, rename folders by tapping the “…” menu, and rearrange playlists within a folder. 

How to create and use playlist folders 

  1. Open the Music app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Library at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select Playlists.
  4. Tap the three dots (…) icon in the top right corner and select New Folder.
  5. Name the folder and tap Create. 

How to add playlists to a folder 

  1. From the Library > Playlists screen, touch and hold the playlist you want to move.
  2. Tap “Move to” from the context menu.
  3. Select the folder you want to add it to, and then tap Move.
  4. Alternatively, you can simply drag the playlist into a folder by touching and holding it and dragging it over the folder’s icon.
