If vapor cooling and more power is coming to the iPad Pro, perhaps it’s time for a bigger model

A few years ago the rumor mill was churning with reports of a 14-inch iPad Pro coming in 2023. In a June 2022 edition of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said such a tablet was in the works, and would arrive “in the next year or two.”

That hasn’t happened yet. However, with rumors of a 2027 iPad Pro getting a vapor chamber to keep it cool when running an M6 (or better) processor bringing increased functionality to the tablet, it may be time for a bigger iPad Pro.

With Apple (sometimes) touting the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement/alternative and Microsoft offering a 15-inch Surface Book, would there be a market for a 14-inch iPad Pro? Or perhaps a 15-incher? Maybe.

Some folks find the 12.9-inch iPad Pro too awkward for use as a tablet. I don’t. Since I may be using it in pace of my 16-inch MacBook Pro (more on this experiment) later, an even bigger model sounds interesting.
