Make Your iPhone Wait on Hold for You in iOS 26

With iOS 26, you can make your iPhone wait on hold for you by using the new Hold Assist feature.

With iOS 26, you can make your iPhone wait on hold for you by using the new Hold Assist feature.

When you’re placed on hold during a call, a notification will appear asking to “Hold this Call?” Tap the “Hold” button to let your iPhone monitor the line, allowing you to put your phone away and do other things.

When a live agent is available, your iPhone will notify you and even provide a transcript of what you missed. Then you can tap “Pick Up” to rejoin the call.
