macOS 26: How to Search Websites Faster with and without Safari

With macOS Tahoe, you can use Spotlight to perform searches on websites without having to open up Safari and navigate to the site first.

Just type a website name like Etsy or Amazon, press Tab, and type what you want to search for. You can also use Safari’s Quick Website Search feature. This feature allows you to search within specific websites directly from the Safari address bar.

  1. Open Safari and go to the menu bar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click on the Search tab.
  4. Ensure the checkbox for Enable Quick Website Search is checked.
  5. When you are on a site that supports this feature, you can type the website’s name, press Tab, and then type your search query to search that site directly, bypassing the homepage.
