You can summon Ask Siri in macOS 27 using keyboard shortcuts, menu icons, or system-wide contextual menus.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Command + Spacebar: Open Spotlight and type or speak your request directly to Siri.
- Shift + Command + Spacebar: Open the on-screen context menu at the bottom of your display to ask Siri about what is currently on your screen.
- Command + Shift + 6: Bring up the crosshair selection tool to highlight a specific text, image, or area on your screen for Siri to analyze.
Mouse and Menu Options
- Menu Bar or Dock: Click the Siri icon in the menu bar or open the standalone Siri app from your dock or applications menu.
- Right-Click / Control-Click: Right-click on an empty desktop space, within supported browsers, or on selected files/images in Finder to reveal the direct Ask Siri contextual option.
- Voice Activation: Say “Siri” or “Hey Siri” if voice activation is enabled in your settings.
