iOS 19 will reportedly add a new feature for interacting/syncing with public Wi-Fi networks

Apple reportedly plans a nifty feature for iOS 19 that will save time when interacting with and syncing with public Wi-Fi networks.

Apple plans a nifty feature for iOS 19 that will save time when nteracting with and syncing with public Wi-Fi networks, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.

“What does this mean? Well, when you go to a new hotel, office building or gym, you’re often asked to fill out a web form on all your devices before you can access the internet,” he writes. “This new feature will let you enter that information on one device and have it synched to your other products. That should make things a bit more convenient next time you need to access a new Wi-Fi network.”

iOS 19, along with updates to iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS will be previewed at June’s Worldwide Developer Conference, which will run June 9-13. They’ll likely be available to users sometime around September.

This info from Gurman is from the free edition of “Power On”. If you like it, consider subscribing to Bloomberg.com—you’ll receive the newsletter earlier and get exclusive access to a Q&A section.
