With iOS 18. And later, the Home app introduces guest access, providing users with easy ways to grant guests control of locks, garage doors, and security systems.
You can set schedules for when guests can access the home; and more. To take advantage of the new features:
° Launch the Home app on your iPhone.
° Tap the three dots in the top right corner, then select “Home Settings.”
° To invite folks, select, obviously, “Invite People.”
° Tap “Guest” to add a guest user.
° Choose the person you want to give guest access from your contacts list or enter their Apple ID.
° You can define which accessories the guest can control and set any time restrictions for access. You can choose which individual devices or categories of devices the guest can control. And you can set specific dates and times when the guest can access the devices.
° Tap “Invite” to send the access request to the guest. The invited person will receive a notification to accept the guest access.
