Report claims the MacBook Pro will eventually replace the display notch with a hole-punch camera

I’m a little dubious about this, a roadmap by Omedia says but Apple will remove the notch from the MacBook Pro in a few years.

I’m a little dubious about this, but a roadmap by Omedia says but Apple will remove the notch from the MacBook Pro in a few years.

The research firm claims the laptops will sport a hole-punch camera at the top of the screen instead of a notch. Apple added the notch on the screens of its 2021 MacBook Pro models. It’s a cut-out that will house the camera system, much like how Apple moved to a notch design for its iPhone X launch in 2017.

Omedia also forecasts that MacBook Pros with OLED displays will arrive in 2026. The OLED display on the latest iPad Pro is gorgeous, and I’d love to have one my my Mac laptop.
