macOS 27 will arrive on September 14 along with other OS updates.

Apple has confirmed that macOS 27 Golden Gate will arrive on September 14 with iOS 27 — and likely iPadOS 17. tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27.

macOS Golden Gate was formally announced at WWDC on June 8, 2026. Apple said that the operating system update focuses on refining features introduced in the previous release based on user feedback. You can read all about macOS Golden Gate here

There’s still time for some last minute tweaking, apparently. Apple has rolled out release candidates for those operating systems. A release candidate (RC), also known as gamma testing or “going silver,” is a beta version with the potential to be a stable product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge.
