The upcoming iPhone 18 may have increased battery life

The upcoming standard (i.e., non-Pro) iPhone 18 will have increased battery life, claims the leaker known as “Digital Chat Station” — as noted by AppleInsider.

It’s expected to arrive in the first half of 2027, along with an iPhone 18e and a second generation iPhone Air. Apple reportedly expects strong demand for the standard iPhone 18 and is preparing a large production run ahead of its anticipated spring 2027 launch.

According to an October leak from “Fixed Focus Digital” — as noted by The MacObserver —  production is expected to begin in late November 2026, with Apple reportedly planning to manufacture a significant number of units.

A recent Reuters report indicated that Apple had reduced component orders for the iPhone 18 Pro series by at least 15% amid rising prices and memory costs. However, the rumored production volume for the standard model remains unconfirmed, and planned manufacturing quantities don’t necessarily reflect actual consumer demand, notes The MacObserver.
