Get Overviews Review: Finally, A Clear View of How AI Talks About Your Brand

If you’re among the small minority who don’t use Google as your main search engine, congratulations. You may have escaped the AI Overview that seems to pop up whenever the rest of us search for something. The rest of us have to work with what we’ve got, and if you’re a business owner with a brand to promote, that means figuring out how to get your business into those AI-generated answers.

It’s a growing headache for marketers. You can have a decent website, rank for the right keywords and still find your brand missing when Google or ChatGPT recommends products to potential customers. That’s where AI visibility tools come in.

I tested Get Overviews using Instantly, a cold email platform, to see how it handles this problem. I wanted to know where Instantly stood, which competitors were getting more attention and whether the platform could offer useful next steps. Some of the results caught my attention, and a few features deserve a closer look.

What Get Overviews Does

Get Overviews is an AI visibility platform. It tracks how Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT talk about your brand, then points you to the sites and conversations that shape those answers. Just add a brand and it works out the questions buyers in your market ask.

Pricing

Plans start at $99/month for Basic, $249 for Pro and $449 for Enterprise. All include a seven-day free trial and monthly Citation Marketplace credits.

The Dashboard Score

The dashboard is your bird’s-eye view of a brand’s AI visibility. It summarises your AI visibility scores, recommendations, citations and exportable reports.

The home screen gave Instantly a 34. That’s the average of Google at 33 and ChatGPT at 35, measured across 30 prompts in 20 groups. AI recommends the brand in 13 of those 30 prompts and cites it in 11. Checks repeat every three days, and a report button exports the lot for your boss. A 34 for a brand I’d call a serious player works as a polite nudge to try harder.

Prompt Tracking and Competitors

The Prompts section groups buyer questions by topic and funnel stage, with estimated monthly volume to help you spot visibility gaps.

Real Questions With Real Volume

Every prompt group carries a monthly volume and a funnel stage. “AI sales agents” draws roughly 2.1K prompts a month at the top of the funnel, and Instantly is absent from it while Salesforce and Gong lead the list. “Email warmup tools” is smaller, around 1K a month, and Instantly shows up on both engines. Across all 30 prompts the brand is in 13 and missing from 17.

Competitor Scores

Knowing your own score is useful, but knowing who’s beating you is far more valuable. The Competitors section puts your brand alongside other players in your market, comparing their AI visibility and citations so you can see who’s getting recommended most often.

The plan tracks up to 10 competitors per brand. Apollo leads at 55, appearing in 67% of answers and cited 23 times. lemlist and Instantly tie at 34. lemlist is in more answers, 42% to 40%, but Instantly gets cited more, 12 times to 8. Third place beats what I feared, though nobody should pop champagne yet.

The Citation Marketplace

The Citation Marketplace lists publications you can pursue for media placements and ranks them using metrics such as Domain Rating and its own Topical Power score, offering more information than a website’s authority score alone.

Topical Power Beats Domain Rating

AI answers lean on sites a model reads and trusts, so Get Overviews sells articles on them. The marketplace lists more than 120,000 publications in over 30 languages and ranks them by Topical Power, a proprietary score for how closely a site covers your subject. In the Authority Pack, prnewswire.com has a Domain Rating of 92 and a Topical Power of 42. In the Cold Email Software Pack, cognism.com has a Domain Rating of 79 and a Topical Power of 94. Big and general loses to smaller and relevant.

Ready-Made Packs

You don’t have to pick every publication individually. Packs bundle sites at a discount. The Authority Pack holds five sites at an average Topical Power of 45 and saves 8%. The Cold Email Software Pack holds eight sites, averages 75 and saves 12%. Placements are fully managed, so you choose a pack and the team handles the rest.

Omni: The Agent That Did Its Homework

Omni is Get Overviews’ research assistant, designed to find relevant communities, media placements and YouTube creators using your tracked data.

What I Asked It

I asked which communities Instantly should be active in. It ranked r/Coldemailing first with a fit score of 90, then r/SaaS at 77, with r/sales at 65. Each card adds a note on how to take part, and the advice was refreshingly free of spam: explain trade-offs instead of pushing the product, and say who you work for when Instantly comes up. Omni also said its answer came from saved activity rather than a live check, and that the saved data shows no ChatGPT citations for those prompts. I trust a tool more when it volunteers that.

It found 189 places to take part over time. Ask for the YouTube creators worth approaching and you get a ranked list of channels with a pitch angle for each.

Threads and Videos

The Threads and Videos sections show where your brand’s industry is being discussed online and which YouTube videos appear in Google AI Overviews. You can find relevant conversations across Reddit, Quora, Facebook and LinkedIn, score them for relevance, draft replies to edit and identify videos or creators worth approaching.

Where Buyers Already Talk

The Threads view found 315 conversations around Instantly’s topic. Reddit leads with 168 and Quora follows with 109. Facebook adds 24, and LinkedIn, Instagram, forums and X share the rest. Of the total, 127 are cited by AI. Each thread gets a fit score: a cold email software roundup scored 97 and a warm-up thread scored 91. Draft a reply writes a first pass in your brand’s voice for you to edit. The Videos tab covers the YouTube clips AI Overviews cite.

Who Should Use Get Overviews

Good Fit

Marketing teams and agencies already investing in SEO or PR are the clearest fit. The tracking can help identify gaps, while the research features point towards places worth investigating.

Worth Pausing On

Omni works from saved data, so verify before you act. Credits are finite: I had 100 a month, and each live search spends one. The marketplace only shows what’s for sale. Whether a placement moves an answer depends on your category, so test with your own prompts before you scale.

Final Verdict

The Instantly test turned a vague worry into a scored list of prompts, sites and threads. It’s a promising way to assess customers’ viewpoints, evaluate brand positioning and offers an entry point into a brand visibility strategy. If AI search is turning into a real channel for your business, it’s a practical place to start.
