Memojis allows you to make an animated Memoji of yourself and use it in FaceTime. Let’s look at how to do this in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.
Open FaceTime and start or join a video call.
Tap your video tile or preview screen to show the call controls.
Tap the Effects button (often shown as a star, shapes, or a smiley/effects icon).
Tap the Memoji button (the small icon showing a monkey face or a custom character).
Swipe through the available characters and choose the Memoji you want to wear.
Close the menu by tapping the X or clicking back into the call; your character will now track your head movements and facial expressions
