Apple has released macOS 27.0.1, iOS 27.0.1, iPadOS 27.0.1, and visionOS 27.0.1.
macOS 27.0.1 is a bug fix release. You can download it by going to System Settings, then Software Update. Apple has also released macOS 26.7.1 and macOS 15.8.1 security updates for older Macs — and for users who don’t want to upgrade.
iOS 27.0.1 and iPadOS 27.0.1 can be downloaded over the air by going to Settings > General > Software Update. According to Apple’s release notes:
This update provides bug fixes for your iPhone, including fixes for the following issues:
– iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may unexpectedly restart when Face ID fails to authenticate
– A color artifact may appear on photos captured at 2x under certain lighting conditions at f/1.48 on a small number of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max devices
– Opening Notification Center and Control Center simultaneously may cause the touchscreen to become unresponsive
There are no notes on what iPadOS 27.01 includes; I assume it’s a bug fix release. Apple has also released iOS 26.7.1 and iPadOS 26.7.1 updates for devices not updated to iOS 27 or iPadOS 27.
visionOS 27.0.1 also seems to fix bugs. You can download it this way:
° From the Home Screen, open Settings > General > Software Update.
° Select Update Now.
° Wait for Vision Pro to finish installing the OS update. You can remove the headset while it’s updating.
