Apple will probably release refreshed iMacs and a new M6 MacBook Pro in October, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.
But don’t get your hopes up for a 27-inch all-in-one or an iMac with an OLED display. The latter is in the works, but likely won’t arrive for several years, Gurman says. As for this year’s iMac update, it will likely sport an M5 or M6 processor in the same design, he adds. The current iterations has an M4 chip. As for a bigger iMac, it could happen, but don’t hold your breath.
As for an M6 MacBook Pro, Gurman says it will be an update of the 14-inch model with the same basic design. If it does arrive win October, it may hit the market at the same time as the long-rumored “MacBook Ultra” with an OLED touchscreen.
