In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Jeff Pu says the base (ie, non-Pro) iPhone 18 model will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB in the iPhone 17.

Apple is expected to release the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Mac next month, followed by the first foldable iPhone in October. The standard iPhone 18, along with the iPhone 18e and a second generation iPhone Air, is anticipated for early to mid-2027.

Pu’s latest assessment, if accurate, would see the iPhone 18 gaining the same amount of memory as the iPhone 17 Pro models. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that both the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will only have 9GB of RAM.
