Nearly all Americans have at least tried AI, and 86% use it now. What’s the verdict? A Howdy.com’s consumer sentiment survey found that:
- Of those who use AI right now, 54% would not pay for it.
- Just 18% say it makes them money.
- Ninety percent use it for searching for information; 51% still prefer traditional search
When provided with the mission statements for OpenAI and Anthropic, 51% said OpenAI was not living up to its mission statement, while 38% said the same about Anthropic. Despite this, ChatGPT remains the most trusted AI platform with 42% of the vote.
