Apple has ramped up orders for vapor chamber cooling components for its upcoming foldable iPhone and 20th-anniversary iPhone models, according to the leakers known as “Fixed Focus Digital” — as noted by MacRumors.
Vapor chamber cooling uses a sealed, fluid-filled vacuum chamber to instantly vaporize and spread heat away from components. It provides superior thermal conductivity, actively prevents thermal throttling, eliminates hot spots, and easily fits into slim devices like smartphones and laptops.
The foldable iPhone — expected to be dubbed either the “iPhone Fold” or “iPhone Ultra” — is expected to arrive before years’s end, perhaps in September. The 20th anniversary iPhone likely won’t arrive until September or October 2027.
