In his latest “Power On” newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that there won’t be any significant design changes to the Apple Watch 12 line-up.
However, he adds that there will be some software improvements in watchOS 27. Gurman says we can expect at least one new Watch face. Beyond that, watchOS 27 will likely include performance tweaks, bug fixes, and stability enhancements.
Gurman adds that the Apple Watch won’t be gaining direct Apple Intelligence on its hardware anytime soon. However, watchOS 27 will be able to display results from the technology that’s powered on a user’s other devices, he adds. Previous reports have claimed that the next of the Apple Watch’s operating system will adopt the visionOS-inspired style changes planned for macOS 16, iPadOS 19, and iPhoneOS 19.
watchOS 27, macOS 27, iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 will be previewed at next month’s Worldwide Developer Conference. And the Apple Watch 12 line-up will likely arrive in September or October.
