The SharePlay feature in iOS can be handy, but it can also be annoying if you’re constantly getting “SharePlay With (name of person”) on your iPhone.
To turn off the SharePlay feature in iOS, open the Settings app, scroll down and tap on FaceTime, then tap on SharePlay and use the toggle switch to disable it. Alternatively, you can navigate through Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps & Features and toggle SharePlay off from there.
Steps to Disable SharePlay on iPhone/iPad:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap on FaceTime.
- Find and tap on SharePlay within the FaceTime settings.
- Toggle the switch next to SharePlay to the off position.
Alternative Method via Screen Time:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap on Screen Time.
- Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Tap on Allowed Apps & Features.
- Find SharePlay in the list and toggle the switch off.
