Apple is working on a next-generation version of the Apple Vision Pro with an updated processor and, possible, a new Dual Knit Band for a more comfortable fit, according to MacRumors.
This lines up with previous rumors. The updated Vision Pro, expected this year, is expected to be update with an M4, perhaps an M5, processor. In addition to a new Dual Strap, it may come in space grey. In fact, a 2025 update might be one of two coming for the spatial computer.
In addition to this year’s upgrade, the Vision Pro will be updated next year with Apple’s R2 chip, according to the Taiwan publication, the Commercial Times.
It will be fabricated with TSMC’s latest 2nm process. along with A20 chips for iPhones, and M6 chips for Macs, then article adds. The R2 would be the followup to the (of course) R1 in the current Vision Pro.
If the Times’ report is correct, it sounds as if we may see Vision Pro updates both this year and next.
