Apple had 45% of global smartphone revenues in the fourth quarter of 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the global smartphone market remained relatively flat with 323 million shipment units. However, Apple led the market with 23% market share, according to new data from Counterpoint Research.

The research group says that the iPhone maker achieved its highest-ever average sales price (ASP) and secured 45% of global smartphone revenues in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The global smartphone ASP increased 2% year-over-year in the quarter, supported by stable premium demand, notes Counterpoint Research. Samsung took the second spot in global smartphone sales with a 16% share.
