Apple plans to release a MacBook Air with an improved LCD display in 2027, according to the Korean site, The Elec.
The display will sport Oxide TFT LCD panels, which are designed to provide more power efficiency and improved performance compared to traditional a-Si displays. The results should be sharper images, smoother scrolling, faster pixel response times, more consistent brightness across the screen and and better battery life.
But you won’t have to wait until 2027 to get an updated MacBook Air. Apple’s inventory of current models is running low at its retail stores so updates are expected soon, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the article).
No major design changes are anticipated. However, it will almost certainly upgrade the processor from the M3 to the M4.
