Analyst predicts a 27-inch mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2023

In a tweet shared with his “super followers,” Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young predicts that Apple is planning to launch an external monitor with a 27-inch mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2023.

Unlike the US$1,599 Studio Display, that one will support ProMotion technology for refresh rates up to 120MHzYoung in addition to a mini-LED panel. Ross doesn’t think the display will be promoted as a replacement for the $4,999, 6K Pro Display XDR.

Still, the addition of mini-LED and ProMotion tech is likely to result in a higher price tag than that of the Studio Display, he adds. Studio Display Pro, anyone?
