Notable apps and updates: September 16

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS

Tropical Software has announced TopXNotesPro 1.6 for iOS. The app contains 4-way sorting in the NoteOrganizer. 

It keeps your notes synced between TopXNotes on Mac and iOS. TopXNotesPro for iOS 1.6 contains improvements to its WiFi based NoteSync process and bug fixes. It features note creation and editing in landscape and portrait modes, emailing a note, backup/restore to the device, and so much more. has been converted to a Storyboard-based app and optimized for iPad.

TopXNotes Pro 1.6 costs US$4.99 and is available at the Apple App Store. It requires iOS or iPadOS 11.2 oar later. macOS 11 or higher is required to sync with TopXNotes for Mac 2.0.

AirPods

Apple has posted new firmware for AirTags. There’s no way to force an AirTag update; it’s done over-the-air through a connected iPhone. To prompt an update, you can place the tracking device in range of your ‌iPhone. However, you have to wait for the firmware to roll out to your device.
