In a note to clients — as noted by MacRumors —Webush analyst Daniel Ives says Apple will launch the iPhone 13 the third week of September and will offer a 1TB option.
The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) thinks the timetable is correct. Apple should be back on its regular schedule of new smartphone releases in September. It was pushed to October in 2020.
“Our recent Asia supply chain checks for 2H put iPhone builds between 130M-150M,” Ives wrote. “The iPhone 13 appears to represent 35%-45% of iPhone builds in Q3, this positive outlook gives us enhanced confidence that 2021’s launch timing will be ‘normal’.”
Other rumors/predictions for the iPhone 13:
° At least some models will support ProRes for videos and Portrait Mode for video.
° It will add advanced photo filters.
° It will pack an A15 processor.
° It will have an “always-on” display like the Apple Watch.
° It will adopt the improved Wi-Fi 6E protocol.
° High-end models of the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup will sport an upgraded ultra-wide camera with autofocus.
° Some, perhaps all, models will have LiDAR sensors.
