New Mac Pro will reportedly use Intel Ice Lake Xeon W-3300 workstation CPUs

A revamp of the Mac Pro expected in 2022 will pack Intel Ice Lake Xeon W-3300 workstation CPUs, according to wcctech. The article notes that the rumor comes from YuuKi_AnS who has been providing insights on the Intel Xeon families for workstations and servers.

In May Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman said that Apple is working on a 40-core Mac Pro with an Apple-made chip. His prediction goes against a rumor that the next Mac Pro would be the last Mac to sport an Intel chip. 

In Marck leaker LeaksApplePro” claimed that Apple will release at least three Mac Pro configurable base models next year. The first configuration, which will supposedly cost US$5,499+, will sport 64 GB RAM, 32 GPU cores, and a 32-core CPU that has 24 performance cores. The second Mac Pro model ($11,999+) will come with 256 GB RAM, 64 GPU cores, and a 48-core CPUwith 36 performance cores. The top end ($18,999) 2022 pro will purportedly be fitted with 512 GB RAM, sport 128 GPU cores, and an boast a 64-core CPU with 48 performance cores.
