Notable apps and updates: May 26

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

macOS

Dejal has announced Time Out 2.8, an update to their break reminder app.

Using a computer for hours on end can lead to eye, back, and neck strain. Time Out offers users gentle reminders to take breaks, allowing them to stretch and relax. Version 2.7 features a new option to end a break early, the ability to postpone breaks instead of skip them and support Do Not Disturb with app exclusions, show the time since the last break in the status item, and more.

Time Out 2.8 requires macOS 10.11 or later. It’s free and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Health and Fitness category, and also included in a Setapp subscription, as well as the Dejal website. Advanced features are available via in-app purchases.

Flexibits has rolled out Cardhop 2.0, an update of its contacts management app for macOS, iOS, and iPad OS. The new version sports a redesign and new features designed to make it even snappier.

There’s a free version and a Premium version. Pricing for Flexibits Premium is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. A family plan for up to five family members is also available, priced at $7.99 per month or $64.99 per year. A demo is available for download.
